Overview

How can real-time Twitter sentiment data be leveraged to uncover public perception, engagement trends, and competitive positioning among leading tech brands?

Developed an interactive Power BI dashboard with three key modules:

1️⃣ Sentiment Overview:
Displays overall tweet distribution — Positive, Neutral, and Negative — with brand filters and sentiment scores.

2️⃣ Brand Comparison:
Allows side-by-side comparison of major brands, showing engagement patterns, sentiment by brand, and tweet complexity vs sentiment correlation.

3️⃣ Keyword Insights:
Reveals trending hashtags and frequent words linked to each sentiment polarity, helping marketers track campaign performance.

Research

The research centered on understanding how social media sentiment reflects brand trust and engagement in the technology market.
Tweets mentioning top brands (Apple, Google, Android, iPad, etc.) were collected, cleaned, and pre-labeled with sentiment (Positive, Neutral, Negative).

The focus was to:

  • Measure volume and polarity of brand mentions

  • Compare sentiment distribution across brands

  • Identify most-used keywords and hashtags

  • Reveal engagement behavior (word count vs. sentiment, hashtag frequency)

This study highlights the potential of social listening analytics for business intelligence — showing how consumer voice can guide brand strategy and marketing focus.
